Description
The great armies converge... to have a parade! In Pageantry, you are a Gnome directing creatures from the armies of six fantastical kingdoms to create the biggest displays in a parade. Draft cards and align neighboring kingdoms to make your displays more impressive than your opponents and get farther ahead in the parade. GAME OVERVIEW: The annual pageantry parade is here! As a Gnome you’ll put together squads of creatures to get farthest ahead in the parade. The game takes place over several rounds (typically 3-4) with each round having 8 turns. On each round you get 2 face up cards (1 to begin each squad) and 8 face down cards as your hand. Each turn you’ll draft a creature from your hand to one of your squads, pass the hand to the player on your left, then update your kingdom scores. Once all cards are placed for the round, you’ll score parade progress based on the amount of competition and where you rank in each kingdom. Then it's time to score your style points! First player to reach the finish line triggers the end of game scoring, after which whoever is in the front of the parade wins. —description from the designer
