Description

VEKTYR is a 2-3 player geopolitical wargame that approximates the ongoing struggle for influence in Central Asia between the United States, Russia, and China. The game takes players from 1991 after the newly independent Central Asian nations - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan - emerged from the collapse of the Soviet Union right up through 2020 when multiple international crises accelerated the global shift towards a multipolar world. The extensive action deck covers over 120 distinct historical occurrences that have shaped Central Asia’s relationship with three global powers - the United States, Russia and China - as well as the rest of the world. Over the six rounds of the game, each player will have to bend history to their will in order to establish influence throughout Central Asia as well as periphery territories in the Caucasus, Türkiye, and Afghanistan.
