All Roads

Description

Develop the surroundings of Rome with Houses, Villas, Spas, and Monuments. Each player starts with a set of wooden structure tokens and a hand of four tiles. On your turn, play two tiles and ensure all roads lead back to Rome, then draw two replacement tiles. Place Houses at formed dead-ends, evolve Houses to Villas or Spas by encircling them with roads, and create Monuments by encircling empty areas. The game blends competition and cooperation, encouraging mutually beneficial actions. Clever road placement adds a layer of social strategy and impacts multiple players. Mid-game, the game dynamic evolves, as the competitors' objectives diverge due to decreasing token reserves. Victory goes to the player with the fewest remaining tokens, by total value.
